Nikki Nouveau
FOUNDER & CREATIVE DIRECTORNouveau Records was founded and is creatively led by Australian singer-songwriter, performing artist and producer Nikki Nouveau. A classically trained vocalist fluent in Greek, French and English, Nikki brings extensive experience across songwriting, recording, live performance, creative production and international touring.
Her work spans jazz, cabaret, tango, bossa nova, ambient pop and original composition, with a particular passion for music that connects language, culture and storytelling.
A finalist in the Australian Women in Music Awards in the Live Creative Production category, Nikki has developed and toured her own acclaimed productions throughout Australia and internationally, including seasons at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Festival Off Avignon and Théâtre Montmartre Galabru in Paris. As a songwriter and recording artist, Nikki creates music rich in atmosphere, emotion and narrative. Her third studio EP, Siren’s Dream, blends ambient pop textures with classical overtones and features original compositions in French and English alongside a reimagining of the Greek classic Thalassa Platia. Drawing on her multilingual background, Hellenic heritage and diverse musical influences, Nikki brings a distinctive creative perspective to the development and curation of the Nouveau Records catalogue.
Her extensive experience as both a performer and songwriter informs the vision behind Nouveau Records and its approach to music licensing: understanding not only how music sounds, but how it can support a story, define a moment and create a lasting emotional connection.
